LUCCA Antique Furniture Showcase

Request from the client: support and refinement of an online showcase for the sale of antique furniture and interior items.
The site is a showcase of products with prices, photos and descriptions, but the payment itself takes place outside the site - on the side. https://www.shopify.com .
At the time of the request in 2011, the client had a store based on CakePHP 1.2. - In the subsequent period of time, our team implemented new features and support.
In 2017, our team participated in a complete redesign and restructuring of the backend part of the website.

Completed works:

Since 2011, work has been underway to change the functionality of the catalog based on CakePHP 1.2.

1. Implementation of balance accounting
2. Implementation of catalog filters for product search
3. Implementing the functionality of product notes (adding/editing/deleting)
4. Adding pagination
5. refinement of the product location functionality (via API)
6. setting up email templates from the website to the client and sending them by crown
7. change the sorting: by product category and subcategory, location
8. implementation of search functionality, etc.

Since 2017. The site was migrated from CakePHP 1.2 to CakePHP 3+QuickAppCMS, as well as a complete redesign. The redesign of the website was carried out in collaboration with frontend specialists on the client side.
Our team was provided with layout elements for which it was necessary to implement a full CRUD (backend part with an administrative system and the ability to independently delete/add and edit information on the site through the admin panel)

• updating the store's functionality from CakePHP 1.2 to CakePHP 3
• changing the administrative part - introducing QuickAppCMS for content management
• implementation of the layout: general layout, footer and header, blocks of the main page, catalog with filters and a detailed product page, pages about the company, contacts, locations
• linking layout elements with QuickAppCMS for the ability to add/remove/edit products and static information
• implementation of third-party libraries for slider, magnifier/zoom, printing
• setting up the environment, the email server and the crown for sending emails, connecting the ssl certificate

After 2018 and until 2022. The new website was supported and the functions were improved.:

• raising the PHP version to 5.6
• adding new sections, such as News/The blog
• adding meta tags for seo
• upgrading the PHP version to 7.3 and CakePHP to 3.6.13
